[ He doesn't remember if he knew Uta in the real world, but he just remembers that he was really excited to meet her here.
His hands are trembling. ]
Regardless of the answer, though, I'm glad you exist. Whether it's here or in the "real world", I'm glad you're here. I'm glad I met you. No matter what happens, I won't forget about you, no matter where you end up staying.
... I can't remember. I remember being sad but then as soon as I started streaming I became happy and then even happier when I started to be with everyone within the Fragment.
But thank you so much Memoir; I'm also happy to have met you. I don't know what will happen afterwards but if I can keep remembering everyone then I definitely want to.
If there's an answer to that then it's tied in with whatever else I've forgotten.
What would cause a person to want to abandon their real life for a digital one in the first place? If we can be happy here then does it matter in the end?
There's just so much pain around us that I don't know if this place is good for anyone.
But...I hadn't considered that this might feel like home for people other than those like Zelkova and Lily. I always believed that we should have a choice in the matter, and yet...
Are you happier, even with everything going on now?
There doesn't have to be though. Pain, I mean. ...but that involves working with someone that people have mixed feelings towards and is part of the reason why so many people are scared in the first place.
Every person is different and every person has their own reason for wanting to do something. It's why I respect everyone's opinions.
And I know that I could never be happy when I see people who are important to me scared and hurt. Even if I remember nothing else, I will trust that my heart would never feel happiness at the sight of another person suffering.
[ She really thinks that working with Lily is the answer, doesn't she?
It's hard to argue with her when she said she respects people's opinions. Wouldn't it be wrong to try and convince her otherwise, with as much conviction as he'd like to? ]
I see.
I can't claim to understand the thought process behind your decision, but if Lily is someone you believe in that strongly, then I'll also have to allow room for that.
I don't think I believe in him myself, but...that doesn't mean we can't be friends. We all have our reasons. I'll do my best to try to understand your faith in him, anyway.
[ He'll never really be on Lily's side, but if he can at least see the other side of things, maybe that will help him ponder a more peaceful resolution to this problem the group seems to be having. ]
Would you like to join me for tea sometime? I believe the mall might have some available, even if it's not very good.
Thank you Memoir. That's the most that I could ever ask or anyone could ask of another person. If we could just talk to one another and come to an understanding or even a compromise — I think we could avoid a lot of hardships.
[ by far, uta is probably one of the most difficult/reasonable of those standing alongside lily. ...for better or for worse. ]
And of course! You don't ever have to worry about whether I'd like to or not. I'm more than happy to share some with you.
All you need to do is like me know when or or where I can stop by.
That's where you're wrong. I have plenty!! Thank you caring for me. Thank you for supporting me. I'd never want to make any of your my enemies. I couldn't imagine it.
[ closes my eyes ]
Tomorrow sounds wonderful! It's not as though I have to worry about streaming or anything like that. I know time is strange here but I'll arrive in the "afternoon".

It's not like I was meant to exist in the real world.

What happened, if I may ask?

Do you think that anything could have been done to have made the real world nicer for you?
I know that's a hard question to answer, since you don't quite remember what happened.

[ Hopefully that won't change, but as he'll tell Sinclair in a bit...he could never see Uta as an enemy. ]
That sounds good to me, then. :)
How about tomorrow? We can meet at the mall. We don't have to talk about this at all; I'd just like to spend time with you again.
