"Good afternoon, Dehya— you'll have to forgive me for not getting back to you sooner. My week has been... quite the experience. Kabru came to pick up Morgan for their trip last Saturday; he said he found Morgan unconscious in the computer room, and couldn't get him up. He carted Morgan off to a hospital, and the poor thing's been in a coma since.
"Then it turned into a whole reality TV bit— you really should've been there. Morgan's parents had an earful for the doctors, and Kabru ended up getting a little too involved... Then, a few days ago, the eldest brother flew in— because a three-way call just wasn't personal enough, I suppose... ( She laughs, faintly. ) And that isn't really getting into the break-ins, or the earful my superiors have been giving me... Oh, pretend you didn't hear that last bit, would you? ♡
"In any case, Morgan opened his eyes today, and that's been a new wave of familial complications. He woke up at... 12:03 PM, the nurse said. Let's hope he stays up, shall we?
"Ah, look at me, getting sidetracked. It was a little up in the air before he woke up, but, well, now that he is... I called to let you know we'll probably still be needing you— more than before, in fact. My and Kabru's employer may be changing, but it's all technicalities, at this point. I can fill you in on the details later. 'til then, all right?"
[This message is such a relief!! Dehya listens to it twice to affirm she got everything correct, then sends a quick message asking when Cithis is free to pick up so she can offer her proper well wishes, and let Cithis know that it turns out they were both playing the same VR game without realizing, and Morgan has a lot of friends that have been worried about them including her. If it's okay with Cithis, she'd be happy to help them deliver any cards or flowers to Morgan while he recovers so they don't have to give out his hospital address on the internet.
