...How were they able to get the drop on you, then?
Lower level this time around. Which, is good, but it's troublesome that you were pulled somewhere against your will at all. They might try a place more dangerous the next time.
[ Since he imagines ... why would they stop at it just once? ]
I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Although, the outer levels are about as dangerous as it can get. The rules don't exactly apply there all the time, you know.
[ It's "outer" for a reason, after all. ]
I guess it's the element of surprise. I wasn't expecting to be gated somewhere else, so they managed to do it.
[ It sounds even less comforting than he initially thought. ]
Underhanded but a good way to catch you off-guard. You wouldn't really think someone could do that. I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else, by the way.
But, it sounds related to that strange bug where people's avatars were switched.
That doesn't sound good. Is there a reason that hasn't been fixed up?
Also, yeah. I don't know much about data and software and stuff, but I think...the only difference is small. Instead of swapping someone's avatar, they're making you switch places.
The avatar bug might have been a test run for that.
But now, that could change. As in, most players might be able to reach it if this person is allowed free reign.
[ In his opinion anyway. Anyway, once there is a return to the second message, well... ]
I honestly think so, and that it all had one same source. Between the avatar swapping, you being 'sent' somewhere else, and then...what happened with Mithrun.
He still was 'offline', but somehow his avatar moved around anyway. I don't think that was something that should have happened, was it?
[ Ganymede has a point. If things get to a certain level, of course everyone will be able to reach those outer areas. And so, Zelkova immediately concedes to that. ]
You're right. I could. I should be prepared for it to change.
[ And so he'll try to be. ]
I think you know the answer to that yourself, don't you? Of course it shouldn't happen.
Can you do it with the resources and help you have, though?
[ Hien and Zelkova probably work together sometimes, but is it enough... ]
Figures. Hey, I know you weren't there, though were you told why things were left as they were for a time? The bloody mess and environment damage stuck around for a few days before being fixed.
I know you have your doubts about what I do and don't know, and what I can even do around here. I can't really blame you, not with all these dangerous bugs and glitches.
So, thanks for your offer. I might have to come find you one day.
...At least even when I do have doubts, it won't be that you don't care.
[ That's a fact. The situation makes it hard not to have doubts at times for the exact reasons listed, but Ganymede doesn't dislike Zelkova. Maybe it's because of the way the other is. ]
It's the least I can do. And if you ever consider it or think you might have to, just go ahead. I don't want anything bad to happen to you or anyone else because you didn't ask for help in time.
I will. You're reliable, so I know you'll come through.
You know, it goes the other way around too. Call on me whenever you think you need to. I might not always have the answers, but I'll try to find a way. :-)

...But you were generally fine because you're such a high level. The monsters were scaled to it? Was there anything strange about them?
no subject
The monsters were pretty low level, actually. No level one hundreds. As for anything weird about them... it's nothing I haven't seen before.

I hope it's happened to no one else. Now that I'm aware I can be pulled there, I'll keep an eye on it, so hopefully it doesn't happen again.
You think so?

[ There's a pause between both messages, as it seems like Zelkova really gives it some thought. ]
It's possible.
Do you think a lot of these bugs are interconnected?

No. I haven't been told anything beyond what I read back on the forums.

Right. Somehow, I did have a feeling, because you'd just arrived, but...better to know for sure.

Yeah...so. Don't you forget it.
Anyway, I guess I will. So, you just take care. And all that.
