i’m not sure that’s something you really need to thank me for, because someone had to do it. it’s not like it was that difficult, either.

really? I thought it was painful, even the second time, even if it was bearable.

is that so? well… i don’t know. everything i saw was strange - horrible, yes, but…

i don’t know the right way to put it. it was like something happening to someone else, someone who was me but was not me, who could have been me once upon a time, but it made it easier to ignore how visceral it felt. it was easy to pretend it wasn’t me being hurt.
