A friend asked if it was an anime, since the company is in Japan.
I didn't know, but I figured you would.
I don't get the difference, but I'm glad you're smart for stuff like this. :-)

A lot of Japanese games have an art style to them that is similar to anime, but the medium is what makes the difference.
You PLAY a game, but you WATCH an anime.

Yes, it can be a movie at the same time.
Some anime are feature-length films. Some are television series. Some are something in between. What brings them together under the umbrella of anime is that they are animated and made in Japan.
