Albedo, when you spoke to Hien... Do you think he had a will of his own, too? Like 0koto might?

It seemed like the AIs took over everyone else almost completely...like Mithrun, Misteaks, Winter. Uta, too. I don't know about Fandaniel.

I believe Hien, Fandaniel, and 0koto's situations are fundamentally different, considering the latter two have been overtaken more by the Phase.

Now, speaking specifically of 0koto...

"And by the Power of █████, a drop from the Wave doth reach the heavens, and creates a new Wave."

...I urge you to consider this line.

I imagine the implications for this Wave in particular may be that 0koto is still following the programming that has been erasing his identity bit by bit. If, perhaps, we are to interpret this line literally, it could mean he is fated to take actions that will result in him shedding a "drop" of his lifeforce to create another Wave. Which means it is quite clear that his actions are still within parameters.

If we are to interpret this more liberally, and still remove consideration for him as "Mirage of Deceit", then it still could simply mean it is as you see it, though less that it is his remaining will of his own. 0koto's drive to preserve the human species is at odds with Cubia's goals.

A mixture of his own will and the Wave's intermingling for a common goal.

Something to that effect, yes.

Though, I would not rush ahead with praise as of yet. This theory I proposed is based on mere conjecture and is very tenuous at best...but it is one to keep in mind.

I understand. It seems very sound, regardless of whether it's true.

I suppose we'll have to keep out for 0koto's fight, then, and see what the result of that is. We may have a new foe on our hands, afterwards.

The problem is that we have no way to view the battle. So, we will not know the outcome for some time.

[ Though, he has to wonder if there is a way around that...hrmmm. But, he can't think of anything. ]

We'll have to wait and see what the others say, then. ... I don't know if I have it in me to fight someone else so soon.

I will be at least skipping the very next battle.

After that, I will reevaluate my position.
