Macha was able to charm people into doing his bidding, so people turned on each other against their will. It gave Tarvos openings to attack, though after a while, I think Tarvos was so blind with rage that he didn't accomplish much at all.
[ just dice bot things....... ]
Still, though...something happened to Macha that gave everyone cuts. I think he was experiencing heartbreak, when Tarvos attacked him. And Tarvos managed to land some really bad blows on some people.
( The part after he died interests him; he hadn't asked about what happened, yet. )
I remember what we did to you all, though some of it is muddled by emotion.
( A gentle rebuttal that it was himself, he considers Macha's actions his own, even if he was altered. He doesn't fully understand everything he did, but he recalls the processes and thoughts, the same way he recalls what his past self did, in truth and due to his armor, even if he doesn't fully grasp his own motives anymore.
Heartbreak, though, he remembers distinctly. It is the thing Macha prioritized recording above all things, even his own. )
You're still suffering from the battle, then. Have you been looked at? Not just healed, but treated.
[ Mm, he doesn't know how he feels about Mithrun remembering all of that, but there's nothing he can do to change that. He wonders how the other feels about it all. That didn't seem like a pleasant thing for Mithrun or Macha to experience, either, even if Memoir views it as a necessity. ]
Yes. Calx treated me for my injuries. There wasn't anything noteworthy that'd keep me out of the next set of battles.
[ But how much of that is Memoir being reasonable versus being reckless? Hard to say. ]
Are you planning on fighting with us?
I assume you are, given your feelings towards Lily. Still, if your injuries are bad...
Tarvos went on a rampage. He picked up Ganymede. I didn't see all of it, but I just heard him slamming him into the ground over and over again. It's a miracle Ganymede survived.
He started slowing down in time, though. We got through to Misteaks eventually, like how we got through to you before Macha perished.
I was wondering why he sounded more sensible when we spoke after. Morbid as it is, I think he needed that. I've been trying to talk to him all this time, but... he was stubborn. If I'd pushed harder, maybe things wouldn't have escalated this far.
( But that's neither here nor there, since it's all already happened. )
Do you care if I ask you something that will probably sound ungrateful?
I've always been skeptical of Lily's methods, after hearing the arguments at the meeting.
I understand that some people may choose to stay here. Assuming this world is still standing by the time this is over, I won't try to persuade them otherwise.
[ Uta is the one that comes to mind, when he says this. ]
However, it should be a choice people make as themselves... Not as someone under his control.
And when you thought you were just a program to collect data and nothing more than that, I couldn't sit by idly and let you believe that. I saw people grieve for you when you had died in-game, several weeks ago. So, despite not knowing you, I knew that people were waiting for you to come back.
( He takes time to read over Memoir's message, and then organize his thoughts. )
You have a lot of empathy.
I don't know if I'm someone worth saving, and I'm still trying to understand why people care for me so much. I'm not a good person. And it's unfair that I'm alive, when other people who should be alive are dead.
But I'll try not to throw it away. My life, or the empathy you offered me. Even if I don't understand most of it, yet.
Of course you're worth saving, and I'm glad you're alive. If there was at least one person here waiting for your return, then I think that would've been good enough of a reason.
I'm glad to hear it, though. We'd love to have you join us in battle, if/when you're ready :)

( en garde !!!!!!! two of us can be stubborn and reckless here,
A pause, before his next message comes. )
Can you tell me what happened after I died for a time?

sure was a time! ]

He died.
And then you both showed up again.

We only really spoke that time when I was Macha, right?
Why were you so invested in me during the battle?

I guess it inspired me to try even harder.

I didn't have anyone waiting for me before. But... I do now, thanks to Fragment. Both here, and in reality. So, I'll keep fighting.
I'll be in the next battle. I just need to keep using my legs until they work again. Do you want to come with me when I go out to exercise them?
( He can't even call it a jog but if Noé wants to hang with Mithrun who walks like a baby deer while avoiding monsters, then... )
NOT ME NOT REPLYING
And yes! I will be there! Just let me know when you would like to go :)
